When trading Indices, you’re trading on the performance of stocks without taking physical ownership of
an asset - all you’re doing is trading on the direction of the price movements of certain securities.
Traders are able to nominate a relatively small sum then apply leverage to gain more exposure to the
trade, therefore enhancing the potential for profit.
Since indices are just a number, they can’t be traded directly. You need a financial instrument, like
CFDs, for that. In fact, indices trading is the most popular form of CFD trading.

Please note that the indices may be subject to dividend adjustments in order to reflect
the cash payments of the constituent stocks within the index. These payments cause the value of the
index to drop as its price is calculated from the value of the stocks within it.
The dividend adjustments will be positive for clients holding long positions and negative
for those holding short.
